It's a frequent dilemma in my home.  What on earth am I gonna fix for dinner?  It's especially heinous when I'm cooking for other people.  Most folks are quite opinionated about food!  Seriously, I've heard it all.

Green peas are the spawn of Satan.

I like onions, just not too many onions.

Hummingbird Cake is one of my favorite cakes.  It's easy.  It's moist.  It tastes like a cross between banana bread and a spice cake.  And, when I take it to a potluck, people always ask if it really has hummingbirds in it.  "Yes," I reply emphatically, "and those little boogers are hard to catch!"

Last weekend, I helped my girlfriend, Lorilee, clean out an apartment belonging to Marialice, a 90 year old woman.  Marialice recently entered a nursing home and will probably never return to her apartment.  Since her family lives in France, Lorilee and I volunteered to help out.  We threw away a lot of trash.  We set aside furniture, clothes, and kitchen paraphernalia for Goodwill.  And we boxed up keepsakes and photos to be kept by the family.
