It was almost 9pm on Wednesday, July 5th. I'd been operating at about 60% brain capacity all day, after staying up late to watch fireworks. After a full day at the office, I was finally relaxing on my couch with a cold beverage and a good book.
Suddenly, my phone buzzed to life. It was a text message from a customer I'd pre-approved a few weeks ago. They wanted to make an offer on (another) home and needed a pre-approval letter right away.
Luckily the company I work for, New American Funding, has this really cool smart phone app that allows me to access my origination database, perform "soft" credit pulls (allows you to peek at a customer's credit without creating an inquiry), and send pre-approval letters. In nine minutes, I was able to double check the numbers, create a pre-approval letter, and email it to my customer and her real estate agent - all without having to move from my perch on the couch.
Now that's what I call service!
P.S. They got the house.
